CMDLAB ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Clarity macOS application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Clarity.

Information We Do Not Collect

Clarity is a local macOS application. We do not operate servers, collect analytics, or receive any data from your device. We have no access to:

• Your email content
• Your tasks or notes
• Your API keys
• Your OAuth tokens
• Any usage data

How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored locally on your device:

• Tasks and email summaries — stored in your macOS Application Support folder
• API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI) — stored in your macOS Keychain
• OAuth tokens (Gmail, Outlook) — stored in your macOS Keychain

Third-Party Services

Depending on your settings, Clarity may send data to third-party services on your behalf:

AI Providers

If you configure a cloud AI provider, email content is sent to that provider to generate summaries and plans:

• Anthropic (Claude) — anthropic.com/privacy
• OpenAI (ChatGPT) — openai.com/privacy

If you select Apple Intelligence, all processing happens on-device and no data leaves your Mac.

Email Providers

If you connect Gmail or Outlook, Clarity reads your unread emails using OAuth 2.0:

• Google — policies.google.com/privacy
• Microsoft — privacy.microsoft.com

Clarity requests read-only access. It does not send, delete, or modify emails.

Permissions

• Automation (Mail.app) — used only to read unread emails if Mail.app is selected as the email source
• Network — used only to contact AI providers and email APIs you have configured

Children's Privacy

Clarity is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of Clarity after changes constitutes acceptance.
